Community Development and Empowerment Foundation (COMMDEF) is a registered local non-governmental and non-profit making organization formed to promote the socio-economic development of the rural poor by working and contributing in a most professional and qualitative manner towards ensuring an improved quality of life for the rural poor in the Central Gonja District of Ghana. It was registered and incorporated in February, 2007.
Its registered number is CG076241022. COMMDEF works to promote real, tangible and sustainable improvement in the quality of life of the poor, especially the rural poor. COMMDEF has its registered office located in Kusawgu, a town in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region of the Republic of Ghana. Implementing community based, results-oriented, tangible and sustainable poverty reduction projects especially at the grassroots level (rural communities) is the core of COMMDEF’s work.
Mr. Francis Tella is the Executive Director for COMMDEF. Through his hard work and dedication, the foundation is making progress in various ways to improve the lives of the under privileged and under served in Central Gonja District and other Districts in Savannah region. It is our belief that as we get more support from Donors and philanthropists, a lot more can be done to improve the living conditions of the under privileged and under served people.
